The French Institute of Jerusalem hosts a conference on Einstein by arch-BDS activist ...

JSS News reports that the French Institute of Jerusalem will be hosting this evening a conference on Einstein, science and the myth by astrophysicist Jean-Marc Lévy-Leblond (blurb in Hebrew).  The Institute is part of the French consulate.

Suffice it to say that the French are inviting Mr. Lévy-Leblond who, according to JSS, in spite of his Jewish sounding name, is not Jewish, is well known for his Israel-bashing activities.  Obviously, there is no mention of this on the Institute's website.

On 27 January 2016, he signed a petition calling for the boycott of Israel launched by an NGO which incites hatred against Israel and campaigns for its end, the Association France Palestine Solidarité.

Mr. Lévy-Leblond signed several other boycott/"pressure" appeals:

Lévy-Leblon also protested at the cancellation of a conference entitled Israel apartheid state scheduled to take place in Paris 8.

JSS News wonders why Mr Adrien Berthier-Villetneuve, the Director of the French Institute, has invited such a determined proponent of the boycott of Israel.  Indeed what is a scientist who wants to boycott scientists doing in Israel?
